RC Car Parts And Accessories

When an rc car part breaks or fails you need a replacement quick. Who wants to sit around for days or weeks at a time waiting for a part to come in to race their kit?

I know I don't!

However, I've seen countless times at the track on race day where a racer has to beg his fellow racers in the pit area for a replacement part after his truck landed off of a big jump onto another truck or after the car was run into the wall at full speed.

Of course you can't always prevent unfortunate mishaps such as these from happening but you can prepare yourself for the worst.

RC Car Parts You Need in Your Pit Box

Make sure you always keep a steady supply of the parts that are connected anywhere close to the wheels on your vehicle, especially the front. Offroad cars and trucks have long wheelbases that often take the brunt of the impact on sideways landings and head-on collisions.

Many of the highest quality race kits save weight by having extremely small front bumpers and some kits designs leave little protection from upside down crashes so keeping extra shock towers, typically the highest point on rc cars and trucks, is a good is good idea.

Lots of spare body pins, e-clips, c-clips, washers, and screws of various sizes come in handy because they're the type of small and inexpensive but easy to lose part that can keep your kit out of action when you least expect it.

I also try to keep extra ball bearings, crystals, and servos but that's not really necessary and they're relatively expensive compared to the essentials covered previously.
